St. Aloysius Child Care Center Director

​

St. Aloysius Catholic Church is seeking a candidate to oversee the operation of its Child Care Center. 

​

Qualifications:

Must meet the qualifications and training standards/certifications of a Director, stipulated by the State of Louisiana licensing authority. Three or more years of experience in an early childhood education and child care center environment. Competent in MS Office suite. Valid driver’s license. An active, practicing Catholic preferred.

​

Ability to work well with others, i.e. superiors, staff, children, and parents, and to foster a team environment. Strong interpersonal communication and organizational skills, with an ability to multi-task. Possess a deep love for children and a strong commitment to building positive relationships with families and the community. Trustworthy, dependable, exercises good judgment and discretion in matters of privacy and confidentiality pertaining to all staff, children, and parents, and information to which the Director becomes privy only because of his/her position, and consistent with the vision & mission statements of St. Aloysius Church in particular, and of Catholic Church teaching and practice in general.

Must be physically able to supervise and observe staff and children, indoors and outdoors, year-round, with considerable unassisted walking and stooping, and lifting banker boxes of paper files, classroom, office, and kitchen supplies, and small office equipment.

Part-time Teacher Assistant

​

St. Aloysius Child Care Center is seeking several reliable and caring part-time Teacher Assistants to work a very flexible schedule with afternoon weekday hours.

​

Responsibilities include: Assisting lead teachers; conducting age appropriate activities for children; helping create a positive classroom environment; maintaining a clean and orderly classroom; engaging in professional communication with parents; maintaining confidentiality of children, parents, and staff members; and supporting the mission and vision of the Church.

​

Qualifications: Applicants must pass a criminal background check issued by the state of LA and the diocese of BR and be 21 years or older.

​

Preferred: Experience working with children or studying early childhood education.

Infant Teacher Assistant | Toddler Teacher Assistant

​

SACCC is seeking a full time Infant Teacher Assistant and full time Toddler Teacher Assistant.
 

Responsibilities include: Assisting teachers in planning and implementing the daily program; conducting age appropriate activities for children; using appropriate guidance strategies that contribute to a positive classroom environment; maintaining a clean and orderly physical environment; maintaining communication with the parents of each child in order to foster the growth and development of their children; maintaining confidentiality of children, parents, and staff members; knowing and complying with the policies and procedures of the center; and support the mission and vision of St. Aloysius Catholic Church.

Qualifications: must have experience working in a childcare setting, be able to pass a criminal background check issued by the state and the diocese, be 21 years or older.
